Remove unwanted blood vessels without surgery!
Thread veins and capillaries (fine blue and red blood vessels) are extremely common,
sometimes embarrassing and mostly affect the face and legs. The cause of thread veins is uncertain although they may be caused by
changes in temperature, smoking, hormonal changes, alcohol and prolonged standing or possibly an inherited condition. Spider veins
on the face are often the result of excessive sun exposure.
Superficial veins, like spider veins, can be treated extremely effectively
with laser therapy. The energy from a Nd:YAG laser is absorbed by the blood in the vein, changed into heat and the vein walls destroyed.
This process is perfectly safe as other healthy veins will supply blood to the treated area and the body will clear the dead tissue
in the same way as it clears a bruise. This is a non invasive treatment for veins 1-3 mm in size.

Superficial Vein Removal
Up to three treatments may be required, depending on the extent of the blemishes, although one session may be enough in some cases,
leaving your skin feeling smooth and blemish-free.
A patch test will be carried out prior to your first treatment. This is to
assess the correct power level and assess any reaction that you may have to the laser treatment. If the results are good then at your
next visit larger areas can be treated.
The laser flashes feel like being flicked by an elastic band. If necessary a numbing
cream can be applied in advance. Immediately after treatment the skin may be bruised with some surrounding redness and
swelling. Make-up can be applied directly following a face treatment and you can return straight to your normal routine after each
treatment session.
In most cases the same veins will not reoccur, but new veins can appear in other areas of your body which might
require treatment.
Treatment of this kind can remove:
• Thread veins
• Spider veins, capillaries
• Vascular lesions,
angiomas
• Rosacea
