Dr Peter Hickman
Dr Hickman, MB, BS, qualified
as a doctor in 1975 at St Mary's Hospital, London.
After working in acute hospital medicine for two years he became a member of
a Hertfordshire group medical practice until 1993 when he started his own practice. In 2005 he moved to Castle Douglas
and opened the Kings Grange cosmetic clinic there.
In 1990 Dr Hickman trained in the use of the dermal fillers
Zyderm & Zyplast (collagen) and developed an expertise in thread vein and varicose vein sclerotherapy. In 2007
he was the first in Scotland to use Laser Lipolysis.
He has trained with DEKA in Florence, Italy and with Fotona in Ljubljana, Slovenia,
two of the world's leading laser manufacturers and exponents of aesthetic laser applications.

Therapist Michelle Archibald
Michelle qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2002 and has assisted Dr Heather Muir in her Cosmetic
Practice in Hamilton since 2005. Also qualified as a Beauty Therapist, Michelle has a wide knowledge of facial aesthetic
treatments and has special experience in the use of Chemical Peels.
Nurse Karen Telfer
Karen has experience of working as a State Registered Nurse in Hospital medicine and in the Community in Dumfries
& Galloway and has worked with Dr Hickman in the Castle Douglas Cosmetic Clinic since 2007.
Dr Heather Muir
Dr Muir, BDS, qualified as
a dentist in 1998 at Glasgow University.
She developed a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry including tooth whitening,
opening a dental practice in 2002 and then the Loveyoursmile Dental Care partnership in 2003. Heather’s interest in
cosmetics developed into a passion for facial aesthetic procedures in which she now has over six years' experience.
She
now teaches facial aesthetic techniques to dentists, doctors and nurses. Dr Muir is qualified in the use of skin peels, Botox® and Vistabel® wrinkle relaxing injections, a full range of dermal fillers including collagen and hyaluronic acid, and advises
on a wide range of cosmeceutical skin care products.
